Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police Shesh Paul Vaid urged families of local militants to take advantage of the Ramadhan ceasefire announced by the Union government and persuade their sons to shun arms.
In a tweet, Jammu & Kashmir Police chief said: “Taking advantage of fresh initiative of GOI during Ramadan, families of local militants should urge their sons to leave path of violence & join them to live peacefully. Wish them good luck.”
It must be noted that two days before Ramadan, Union Home Ministry announced the unilateral ceasefire during the holy month of Ramadhan in Jammu and Kashmir.
