Talasani reviews arrangements for Old City Bonalu

Minister for Animal Husbandry Talasani Srinivas Yadav today said Rs 6 crore has been sanctioned for development works at various temples for Old City Bonalu slated to be held on July 16 and directed the officials to make the best arrangements for the traditional festivities to be thronged by huge number of devotees.

Sriniva Yadav held a review meeting Salar Jung Museum and discussed about the famous Bonalu the state festival announced by the government. The GHMC has allotted Rs 6 corre for conducting the Bonalu festival and the officials should make sure that all facilities are put in place he said. Officials coordination is a  must to provide separate Whats-App groups for the temples to conduct the Bonalu festivities in fair manner. No inconvenience should be caused to the devotees on the occasion he said adding that the government is allotting adequate funds and wants to make the festivities a big success.

“We are also discussing on the Bonalu festival to be conducted at Golconda and Secunderabad and other places in the twin cities. Silk Clothes to be presented at Lal Darwaja, Akkanna Madanna, Bangaru Maisamma, Bhagyalakshmi temples on behalf of the government to mark the Bonalu festival on July 16, 17, and 50 stages will be set up to conduct cultural programs on the occasion”.  The minister asked the departments to provide drinking water, power supply, barricading, traffic clearance, garbage and debris cleansing, sanitation, parking and police security at all the temples.
