Talasani slams Congress on CAG jibe

Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav today slammed the Congress for its persistent remarks against the TRS Government with regard to CAG report.

Addressing the media at the Secretariat here today, the minister took serious exception to the Opposition resorting to mud-slinging on the government. He refuted the allegations of the Congress leaders that the ruling party was involved in corruption and irregularities in developmental works as baseless, provocative and mischievous. The CAG report did not make severe comments on the budget on some departments which were speeding up the implementation of the schemes. The loans obtained will be used for inclusive growth, he asserted.

Responding to a query, Srinivas Yadav rejected the comments that some ministers and MLAs of the ruling party were planning to join the newly floated Telangana Jana Samithi (TJS) party of TJAC Chairman Prof. Kodandaram. “We have launched several welfare schemes, supporting community professions and providing help to revive rural economy”, he claimed. The statehood fight for water, resources and jobs was yielding fruits with the relentless efforts of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, he said.

Srinivas Yadav reminded that the previous 10-year Congress rule was mired in controversy of corruption and irregularities and the same was revealed by CAG report. “Just for the mileage sake, the Congress and other Opposition parties were making a hue and cry. The CAG gives reports in all States and the government was giving top priority for welfare and loans taken will be for development”, he said. He ridiculed the Congress for continuing its Bus Yatra which has no takers.

The CAG had slammed the Congress and TDP governments for disparities in the budgets and allocations, he said. CAG report even found fault with the Congress government at the Centre when Prime Minister Man Mohan Singh was at the helm of affairs. The minister asked the Congress leaders in Telangana not to forget that the CAG report was not a holy book as stated by then Congress Chief Ministers, including Y S Rajshekhara Reddy, K Rosaiah and N Kiran Kumar Reddy. Srinivas Yadav sought to know as to why the Congress was resorting to bus tours even as the people hating them for stalling growth. (NSS)
