Tanoor town in Adilabad tense after masjid attack, DIG visits

Hyderabad: In Tanoor of Mudhool in Adilabad District, some miscreants pelted stones in a masjid after Maghrib prayer. The situation became tense. Two persons were injured. Police resorted to Lathi charge. DIG of Kareem Nagar range visited Adilabad and controlled the situation.

It may be mentioned that a petty conflict between Ayub and Ramesh flared up which took violent shape. Both the parties registered their complaints in police station on 9th January. The dead body of Ramesh was found hanging on a tree on 15th January. The relatives of Ramesh alleged that Ayub and his aides were responsible for killing Ramesh. Police stated investigation.

Mr. A. Ramulu, DSP of Bhainsa visited Tanoor and organized a meeting of political leaders and respectable citizens of both the sects. He persuaded them to maintain communal harmony. He also said that police is neither a friend nor enemy of anyone.

Talking to reporters, Mr. Ravi Verma, DIG of Kareem Nagar range told that the conflict between two families erupted violence. He said that any mischief is not tolerable. No miscreant would be let off.
