TBGKS won due to fake promises, liquor and money: Congress

The Congress leaders on Friday alleged that the TRS-backed TBGKS won Singareni union polls due to the fake promises made by Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao and distribution of money and liquor among workers.

Speaking to media persons at Gandhi Bhavan, AICC Secretary V. Hanumantha Rao said KCR made several tall promises with the Singareni workers and like previous promises, they too would remain unfulfilled. He said TBGKS victory in Singareni polls was not real, but fake like KCR’s promises.

Meanwhile, former Government Chief Whip Gandra Venkata Ramana Reddy alleged that Singareni’s election was not free and fair. He said official machinery was misused and workers were lured with liquor and money. He said that officials of SCCL have openly supported the TGBKS. He said one TRS MP has distributed silver articles worth thousands of rupees among workers to get their votes. (INN
