Andhra Pradesh BJP president Kanna Lakshminarayana today said the Centre has not informed Supreme Court that it was not possible to set up steel factory in Kadapa district.
Speaking to media here today, Kanna said in AP Re-organization Act in was only mentioned that the Centre would examine feasibility of setting up of steel factories in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh States. But due to pressure from party president Amit Shah, Prime Minister Narendra Modi got a study conducted by a Mecon company into feasibility of a steel factory. The BJP State chief alleged that the ruling TDP was spreading a canard on the issue. (NSS)
