Hyderabad: In yet another shameful incident, an Army sepoy reportedly attempted to rape a 19-year-old girl. This incident took place at Ammuguda Bus Stop.
According to the report published in Telangana Today, the accused is identified as Brajesh Kumar Yadav (32). On Monday at around 10 pm, the accused has found the victim and her beau near Ammuguda Railway Gate. Due to rains, the girl and her beau were taking shelter under a tree.
As per the details provided by the police, when the accused saw the victims, he attacked the boy with a stick and then made an attempt to rape the girl in the nearby bushes. The girl tried to dial 100 but the accused snatched her phone, police added.
Luckily, two cops who were on patrol duty came into action after listening to the screaming of the girl. After seeing the cops, the accused tried to escape. However, cops chased and caught him.
Police registered a case and started investigation. On Tuesday, the accused was produced in the court. He was sent into judicial custody.
