Hyderabad: In order to instill confidence among the people for participating in the election process fearlessly, Rachakonda Police organized 5 km long flag march from Jalpally area of Pahadeshareef yesterday.
Present on this occasion were Mr. Sudheer Babu, Joint Police Commissioner of Rachakonda and other officials.
The police started flag march from Jalpally covering Shaheen Nagar, Errakunta and Baba Nagar. Nearly 1000 policemen participated in the flag march which included police personnel from Rachakonda Police, CRPF, Rapid Action Force etc.
Mr. Sudheer Babu said that flag march has been arranged to boost the morale of the people to exercise their votes fearlessly in the next election.
He also told that flag march would be organized in Maula Ali and other areas very soon.
He informed that so far, 1300 rowdysheeters and other anti-social elements have been arrested. So far, 650 persons have deposited their licensed weapons at various police stations.
