Telangana BJP seeks President’s intervention in intermediate result fiasco

Hyderabad: Dr. K. Laxman BJP State President appealed to the President of India Ramnath Kovind to instruct the Government of Telangana to initiate appropriate proceedings against the Secretary Board of Intermediate Education.

Stating that the intervention of the President of India to rendering justice to the families of 27 innocent intermediate students who committed suicide as the Intermediate Board goofed up their examination results will go a long way he requested the President to instruct the Government of Telangana to initiate proceedings against the Minister of Education of Telagnana for his insensitive and callous remarks which have accentuated the emotional trauma of the students and the parents. .

A delegation led by Dr. Laxman MLA G. Kishen Reddy T. Raja Singh, P. Indrasena Reddy Muralidhar Rao, PK. Krishnadas and others in a memorandum presented to the President of India at New Delhi informed him that the unprecedented lapses in the process and publications of results made some students feel frustrated as a consequence of which about 6 students committed suicide on April 19th itself Dr. Laxman informed that the BJP had appealed to the Government of Telangana to conduct a judicial enquiry and appealed to the students not to take extreme step. . A series of programs were organized to impress upon the Government of the imperative of probing the entire case of bungling of intermediate results . The Government did set up a three member committee to look into the episode which squarely blamed both the officials of the Intermediate Board and the IT organizations Globarena for their neglect .The report also pointed out that Globarena neither have the experience nor the expertise but was assigned the contract . Despite the report by the Committee the Government remained a mute spectator and no action was taken against the officials concerned .

The suicide bid however continued and there was no appeal from the Government of Telangana to the students and parents not to feel panicky or feel distressed . Neither there was any assurance to the students that the Government would probe the matter and would render justice to them.

On the contrary the Minister of Education Government of Telangana tried to show it as a very minor incident stating that the problem occurred due to the internal feuds amongst the officials of the Intermediate Board.

Dr. Laxman in the memorandum recalled how the BJP had agitated and sat on a fast but the Police used Brutal force and shifted BJP leaders undertaking fast to NIMS . Stating that the manner Government is shielding and taking no action against the IT organization Globarena and Minister of Education and officials from the Board showed complicity is nailed by none other than the Governments own committee shows that there is more than what meets the eye . Hence the BJP requested the President to instruct the Government of Telangana to initiate appropriate proceedings against the Secretary Board of Intermediate Education and the Minister of Education Government of Telangana.

Dr. Laxman said that the intervention by the President will go a long way in reviving the faith of people in the system.
