Telangana elections: KCR built Rs 300 crore worth residence for himself, we are here to serve you, Congress leader Vanteru Pratap Reddy

Hyderabad: TRS party rival and Opposition party Congress leader Vanteru Pratap Reddy managed to get overwhelming response during his roadshow in Gajwel.

Addressing the public gathering he said: “I have sold out every property of mine and do not even own few yards of land to bury me after my death. I have lost two elections and all my property. I am here to serve you. We are locals from the villages of Gajwel whereas KCR hails from Siddipet.”

He was campaigning with his senior party leader and Rajya Sabha MP Ghulam Nabi Azad.

He stated that the poor were still waiting for the 2-BHK houses while the ruling party leader has built for himself a residence totaling to Rs. 300 crores from public money.

“KCR has not fulfilled any of his major promises and has snatched the lands of small, medium and big farmers on the pretext of taking up irrigation projects,” Vanteru said.

Taking a dig at irrigation minister T Harish Rao, he said: “Harish has been camping in Gajwel for the past two months distributing money and liquor. Harish is not replying to the challenge thrown at him by me to explain how much worth property he had in 2001 and how did he become the owner of Rs 10,000 crores worth property now. If I am wrong, let Harish make public the worth of his properties as on date.”

Terming the huge turn out as a “sea of humanity”, Ghulam Nabi Azad said that he knows KCR better than the people of Telangana.

“KCR worked with me in Youth Congress. The KCR I knew was a worker and a common man. But after assuming power and becoming chief minister, he has become one of the richest in India. He owns a farmhouse, hundreds of acres, Mercedes cars and huge money and this means that he is a corrupt politician. Do not give your future into the hands of such a corrupt politician,” the senior Congress leader said.
