“We have planned 100 days agenda and brought My GHMC app and opened E- office for electronic governance in GHMC. As we said we have started online building approval from June 2nd in entire state and we have distributed garbage bins for 14,22,000 households within this 100 days agenda,” Rao said in Telangana Assembly yesterday.

Rao further said the government has launched 2000 swachh autos to transport garbage collected and garbage treatment

“We also planned for 1000 public toilets in city and on this regard we have requested all petrol pump owners to provide public toilets in 370 pumps in city,” he added.

Under the ‘Swachh Survekshan’ a total of 500 towns and cities will be ranked and rewarded with awards for active implementation of the mission initiatives in a timely and innovative manner.

The GHMC will be conducting mass awareness campaigns through ‘Gandhian philosophy’ (to request for a drastic change constantly in the system). The idea is to encourage citizens’ participation for improving the sanitation levels of the city.
