Hyderabad: At the age of three Kasibhatta Samhitha would easily identify flags and capitals of 200 countries and now this young girl at the age of 16 is Telangana’s youngest engineer.

At a time when children of her age were frantically preparing for their Class X board exams, Kasibhatta Samhitha was writing her final papers to obtain a bachelor of engineering degree (in electrical and electronics) – at least five years ahead of her peers. At 16, she is now Telangana’s youngest woman engineer, TOI reported.

Five years ahead of her peers, this young girl had already cleared her board exams by the time she turned 10, a student of Good Samaritan’s High School, she even secured a GPA of 8.8.

She continued to complete her Intermediate in the year 2014 scoring 89 percent.

At the age of 12, her parents represented the Telangana Government to exempt her from entrance exam to get into a professional course. The young engineer secured a seat in Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology (CBIT) in 2014.

“I concentrated on fun and concept-based learning, rather than rote learning. I didn’t spend long hours studying as I maintained a balance between academics and co-curricular activities,” she said.

The Government did exempt her appearing for mandatory entrance exams for engineering, agriculture and medical common entrance test (Eamcet).

This young engineer now wants to pursue M.Tech though she cleared her campus interview with an agro-based firm, where her age became the barrier

“She was among the top students in the electrical and electronics department,” said Ravinder Reddy, principal at CBIT.

“Right from age three, we saw the spark in her. She memorised every poem and identified flags/capitals of 200 countries with absolute ease,” says her father L N Kasibhatta.

Her mother, Githa Chaturvedula, project manager with Tech-Mahindra, is equally elated at their daughter’s achievements. “She is equally good at sketching and music. She has won many awards for her achievements,” she said.
