Medak: In a sorrowful incident, a 14-year-old girl committed suicide after her classmates allegedly harassed her for being dark skinned.
According to the news published in The Hans India, M Lavanya committed suicide by setting herself ablaze. This incident took place on 2nd January in Medak District of Telangana State.
Later, at Gandhi Hospital, she succumbed to her injuries.
It may be mentioned that Lavanya was the student of class IX at Pragati High School. Earlier too, she had made an attempt to commit suicide.
Police recorded her statement and will take necessary action.
