New Delhi: The Congress party on Monday released its first list of 65 candidates for the upcoming Telangana assembly elections.
The names of the candidates were finalised after Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president N Uttam Kumar Reddy held talks with party leaders in Delhi.
The filing of nominations for Telangana Assembly elections began on Monday with the issuance of notification. The last date for filing of nominations is November 19.
The state will go to polls on December 7, while the results will be announced on December 11.
The 119-member assembly was dissolved on September 6, 2018, on the recommendation of the K Chandrasekhar Rao-led Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) government.
