Telangana a secular State, asserts Jagadish Reddy

Hyderabad: Former minister G Jagadish Reddy today said Telangana was the only State that was spreading secular spirit in the country by giving equal priority to all the religions across the nation.

The MLA-elect participated in Christmas celebrations in Suryapet district here and distributed cakes on the occasion. He said the TRS president and Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has been offering equal priority to all religions in the State. “Our government conducts State festivals like Christmas, Ramzan, Bathukamma and others”, he claimed. The KCR government was spending huge funds for welfare and development of the Christians in the State, he said. He also said KCR has decided to honor the Christian brethren by building a Christian Bhavan in Hyderabad at a cost of Rs 25 crore. “Every year our government was distributing clothes to the Christmas at churches and offering Christmas dinner to the community. The Christians should participate in the welfare and development programs and extend support for Golden Telangana, he exhorted.
