Telangana top in shielding corrupt officials: Revanth

Stating that there were no cases against those belonging to Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao’s community in spite of their complicity in huge scams, Congress leader and Kodangal MLA A Revanth Reddy has demanded that the Chief Minister make evidences with regard to withdrawal of 125 cases, public.

Speaking to the media here on Tuesday, Revanth Reddy said no case was booked when a municipal chairperson disclosed that IT Minister KTR himself advised them to take two percent bribe in every work. He also alleged that the State government protected KCR’s relative and Kukatpally ACP Sanjeeva Rao, who had amassed properties worth several crore through corrupt practices.

There was also no case even when TRS MLA Vemula Veeresham offered bribe in a phone conversation last year. There was no inquiry into the corruption in KTR’s ministry works in T-Hub construction, he wondered and said that KCR conducted a review meeting at the instance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Revanth Reddy alleged that the Telangana State was second to none in shielding corrupt officials. He also alleged that the Chief Minister protected Dr Adisheshagiri Rao, head of a department in NIMS, indulged in corrupt practices, because he was KCR’s relative.

Alleging that there was political conspiracy in the ACB review meeting, Revanth Reddy said KCR was trying to re-open the case against AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, who called upon the people to defeat the BJP for harming Andhra Pradesh State. Reiterating that nobody was afraid of KCR’s review meetings, Revanth Reddy said Narendra Modi’s target was Chandrababu Naidu and KCR’s target was Revanth Reddy. (NSS)
