Hyderabad: Telangana State Urdu Academy has extended the date for submitting publications by the authors. It must be noted that the academy extends financial assistance to writers for publishing their creative literature. The date for submitting 8 published books has been extended till January 16, 2017.
Prof. S A Shukoor, Director/Secretary Telangana State Urdu Academy issued a press note in this connection in which he stated that after issuing the first installment to the Urdu writers, poets, scholars under the scheme subsidy to Authors for publishing manuscript for the year 2016. The last date for submission of 8 published books for getting 2nd installment was December 31, 2016. But representations were made by various writers and Urdu organisations citing the financial problems due to demonetisation. Hence the last date to submit books has been extended till January 16, 2017.
Prof. S A Shukoor has appealed writers to submit the books at the head office of Telangana State Urdu Academy on or before the last date.
