Hyderabad: Telangana Waqf Board is in search of a new Chief Executive Officer. Waqf Board Chairman Mohammed Saleem has consulted the high officials of Minority Welfare Department and Chief Minister’s Office in this connection. It must be noted that the term of present CEO Mannan Farooqui will expire on March 22, however keeping in view the present situation of the Board Mannan Farooqui has decided to return to his respective department. According to sources, he has written a letter to Minority Welfare Department saying that he is not ready to continue his services as Chief Executive officer.
Mannan Farooqui was appointed as Chief Executive Officer on March 22, 2017, for a period of one year. He is assistant Secretary in Law Department. The case of issue of fake NOC with his signature is also under investigation.
