Telangana youth lands in jail for marrying kafeel’s daughter: Here’re updates on the case

Hyderabad: A 30-year-old youth, Azeemuddin who is the native of Nirmal District of Telangana State landed in jail for marrying a Saudi girl, daughter of his Kafeel (Sponsor).

According to the report published in Times of India, the officials of the Consulate General of India (CGI) in Jeddah approached the Kafeel and asked him to withdraw the case against Azeemuddin. However, the Kafeel refused to do so.

CGI informed Mr. Amjed Ullah Khan, MBT leader that all possible attempts would be made to get relief for the youth.

Earlier, Mr. Khan had forwarded the request of Azeemuddin’s mother to help the youth.

It may be mentioned that Azeemuddin who was a car driver in Saudi Arabia had fallen in love with the 27-year-old daughter of his Kafeel (Sponsor).

In January 2018, he returned to India. A few months later, the girl reached Nepal after giving wrong information to her parents that she is going to Oman.

Azeemuddin brought her to India from Nepal and finally, the couple got married.

After a few months, the girl went back to Saudi Arabia to meet her parents. Later, she sent a visa for Azeemuddin.

Parents of the girl, who was against the marriage, lodged a kidnapping case against Azeemuddin in Saudi Arabia. He was arrested at the Jeddah Airport.

Now, Kafeel has refused to withdraw the kidnapping case against the youth.
