Telugus contributed for nation’s development: Balakrishna

Basavatarakam Indo-American Cancer Hospital today celebrated 70th Independence Day with Nandamuri Balakrishna hoisting National Flag.

             

Speaking on the occasion, Balakrishna said, “People from Telugu speaking land have contributed immensely for the development of the country. Gautamiputra Shathakarni, who had successfully unified the nation by brining different areas under one nation, was also from this great land.” The Basavatarakam Indo American Cancer Hospital will thrive to achieve late NTR’s dream of providing world class cancer care at affordable cost, Balakrishna said. Earlier, Balakrishna garlanded the statues of his parents late NTR and late  Basavatarakam as a mark of respect.

He urged people to work towards removing ills in the society like untouchability and encourage widow remarriages advocated by Kandukuri Veeresalingam, Gurajada Apparao, Yogi Vemana and others. He also assured that the hospital will work towards fulfilling late NTR’s dream of providing world class cancer care at affordable cost in BIACH. He interacted with the patients and enquired about their well-being and instructed the staff to extend all help sought by them.
