There are illegal Bangladeshi in Hyderabad too: Amit Shah

HYDERABAD: Raking up the issue of Assam’s National Register of Citizens (NRC), BJP national president Amit Shah at a public meeting in Mahububnagar said, “no infiltrators are allowed into the country”

“We made an effort to remove infiltrators from Assam. Our NRC move was opposed by all major parties. We will ensure that no infiltrator is allowed to live in the country,” Shah said at a rally on Saturday.

The NRC is the list features the names, addresses, and photographs of Indian citizens of Assam who are residing before March 25, 1971. Nearly, 40.07 lakh people were left out of the final draft was released on July 30. After Assam, the BJP chief had suggested to throw out illegal Bangladeshi migrants.

“Opposition parties such as Congress, TRS, MIM, Communist parties and BSP are resisting removal of illegal immigrants from Assam. They made an issue when 40 lakh people were identified in the draft list in Assam. The BJP government will go ahead and complete the process,” Shah said. Illegal immigrants from countries like Bangladesh, not only pose a security threat, but also take away jobs of Indian citizens, he said.“There are illegal Bangladeshi migrants in Hyderabad and Mahbubnagar districts. TRS chief KCR should speak whether they should be deported after cancellation of their citizenship,” he said, reported TOI.
