There’s nothing wrong in saying ‘Congress is Muslims’ party’: Nadeem Javed

New Delhi: Amid the uproar over the news published in Delhi-based news Daily Inquilab, the Congress defended the news. Chairperson of All India Congress Committee’s Minority department Nadeem Javed told the Inquilab bureau that Rahul Gandhi has said nothing wrong regarding Muslims. There’s nothing wrong if Inquilab has written, ‘Yes! Congress is Muslims’ party because they are weak’, then what’s wrong in that. Did we forget Sachar Committee report which states that Muslims are more backward than Dalits? It must be noted that any country cannot become developed with the growth of just one section of the population but the country will develop with the growth of each section of the population, this is what Rahul Gandhi has said.

Mr Javed said Congress has always been the party of weaker sections, the same was written in Inquilab with reference to Rahul Gandhi which is not wrong because this is the ideology of Congress, Gandhi, Nehru and Azad.

Nadeem Javeed also informed that soon a national convention will be held by minority department of Congress in which Rahul Gandhi will participate and express his views.
