NEW DELHI: Since Alwar Lynching, a number of high profile politicians not only condemned the “murder” by mob but also issued insensitive and brazen statement either blaming the victim, or his community.
Here are list of some leaders of the RSS and the BJP brazenly defending the murder as a way out to end the lynching by aggresive mob.
BJP MLA, Raja
One of the first politicians to justify the lynching of Rakbar alias Akbar Khan is BJP leader T. Raja Singh Lodh. The BJP MLA who represents Goshamahal constituency, said in a video message that incidents as such will not cease until cow slaughtering was stopped in the country.
“Till cow is not accorded the status of ‘Rashtra Mata’, I feel the war for ‘gau raksha’ (cow protection) will not stop even if ‘gau rakshaks‘ (cow protectors) are put into jails or bullets are fired at them,” Singh said.
Rajasthan Minister, Jaswant Yadav,
Jaswant Yadav, a minister in the state government stirred a fresh controversy by stating the Muslims community to stop the illegal cows smuggle business saying it it “boils the blood of the Hindus”.
“I appeal to Muslims to understand the sentiments of Hindus and stop smuggling cows. They must stop this business,” he was quoted as saying by news agency ANI.

RSS Indresh Kumar
Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leader Indresh Kumar advice the Muslim to give up eating beef. “If the practice of eating cow meat is stopped, then mob lynchings will also automatically end,” he said in Ranchi where he was there to attend a programme of the Hindu Jagran Manch yesterday.
BJP leader Vinay Katiyar
Former BJP MP and Hindutva poster boy Vinay Katiyar, who known for his controversies blamed the Muslims for the Rakbar lynching. People from the Muslim community should abstain from touching cows and provoke aggressive Hindus, said Katiyar in an interview to India Today
Union minister Giriraj Singh
Endrosing the views of Indresh Kumar, senior BJP leader and union minister Giriraj Singh said Kumar is a “mature” man and said whatever he did “after proper thought”.
“He (Indresh Kumar) is a mature man and must have said something after proper thought,” news agency ANI quoted Minister of State for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Giriraj Singh.
Rajasthan BJP president Madan Lal Saini
A former MLA and RSS volunteer Madan Lal Saini floated a hilarious yet another cow-related theory.
“When Humayun was dying, he called Babur and told him, “if you want to rule Hindustan, you must keep three things in mind- respect cows, brahmins & women,” Saini said on Tuesday, as per news agency ANI.

Twenty-nine-year-old Rakbar Khan was allegedly beaten to death by an agitated mob on suspicions of cow smuggling in Alwar district in the intervening night of July 20-21.
