Hyderabad: In a recent incident, Rachakonda Police arrested a thief with the help of CCTV footage and seized 510 gram gold ornaments.
Rachakonda Police Commissioner, Mr. Mahesh Murlidhar Bhagwat informed that E. Mahender (43), resident of Subramanyam Colony, Saidabad was an addict thief. His “modus operandi” was that he used to attend functions in various marriage halls as an invitee and steal valuable articles.
On 4th October, he went to a function hall located at Nagole crossroads. After dining, he reached the stage and stole the bag of ornaments, the value of which is estimated at Rs. 16 lakh. He had mortgaged these ornaments with Muthoot Finance.
