“Those out on bail giving honesty certificates”: Modi to Gandhi family

Prime Minister Narendra Modi at an election rally in Chhattisgarh today attacked Rahul Gandhi, he said since he and his mother Sonia Gandhi are out on bail, they should not be questioning anyone’s honesty, He countered to Rahul Gandhi’s attacks on his government over demonetisation.

PM Modi said “They forget it was due to demonetisation that they had to seek bail,” the Prime Minister said, adding “those seeking bail are giving a certificate to Modi”. He took a dig at Congress by saying the party’s “politics begins and ends with one family”.

Rahul Gandhi has got a bail in the National Herald case along with his mother and has consistently been questioning the benefits of note ban in the run-up to the assembly elections in five states. He has repeatedly questioned PM Modi’s silence on the issue.

“The mother-son duo who are out on bail are giving me a certificate and asking from me the benefits of demonetization, those who are out on bail are distributing certificates of honesty. They forget that it was due demonetisation that they had to seek bail,” said the Prime Minister.

Ahead of the second phase polling in the state on November 20 Pm Modi Addressed a poll rally in Bilaspur, He also made a strong pitch for development, saying the pace of development under the Congress regime in the state was “far slow” than the one under the BJP-led government.
