Thousands of students of madaris can be deprived of appearing in exams

Lucknow: Thousands of students may bear the brunt of negligence of administration of registered and government aided madrasas. They may be deprived of writing exams after VIII standard. However the concerned minister is assuring that their future will not be ruined.

There are 560 such madrasas that get government aid while the total number of registered madrasas exceed 19000.

According to Minority Welfare minister Chaudhry Lakshmi Narayan, though the government gave the time to the madrasas to upload their details on www.madarsaboard.upsdc.gov.in but still there are nearly 2300 such madrasas who did not upload their information on web portal. He has refused to extend the deadline further and warned strict action against them.

Students of those madrasas are worried, they say it is not their fault, they didn’t have knowledge whether the madrasas they are taking admission in have submitted registration or not. They have requested the government to give permission to appear in the examination.
