‘Thugs of Hindostan’ enters the 100 crore club

New Delhi [India], Nov 11 (ANI): Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan starrer ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ entered the 100 crore club despite witnessing a downfall on its third day.

The film has not garnered a lot of appreciation from the critics and has received poor reviews. The movie’s content was also rejected by the audience.

On the third day, collections yet again witnessed a drop as the film earned in the Rs 22.5-23 crore net range but the total collections have solidified the flick as a member of the 100-crore club, according to Box Office India.

On its opening day, the action-adventure film had witnessed a massive box office opening of Rs. 52.25 crore and had shattered many box office records, with being the first film in Bollywood to cross the 50 crore mark on day one. However, on the second day, it saw a major drop and failed to maintain the numbers with minting just Rs 28.25 crores.

‘Thugs of Hindostan’ is based on Philip Meadows Taylor’s 1839 novel ‘Confessions of a Thug’ and is about a gang who posed a serious challenge to the British Empire in India during the early 19th century.
