Dharamshala: A Large number of Tibetans gathered in protest against Lobsang Sangay, the president of Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) near the Tibetan Parliament demanding Sangay’s impeachment.

The protestors belonged to Truth Seeking group demanded the impeachment of Tibetan PM Sangay, in-exile-Sikyong for his actions which protestors believe are similar to those of a dictator, also demanding the reply from Sangay and his cabinet for terminating services of Penpa Tsering.

Indian government’s recent move of asking its senior leaders and dignitaries had already scrapped various Tibetan events planned in Delhi.

Former representative of the office of Tibet in Washington, Tsering was ousted from his office on 7 November 2017 over a loan issue of 1.5$ million which he took from the Tibet Fund in order to buy a new office in Washington.a

However, PM Sangay had stated in the Parliament that the amount used by Tsering was not a loan but was granted.

His impeachment petition was presented in parliament, which is holding its 10-day budget session until 24 March.

Several protesters from India, Nepal, Europe, and the US all gathered at the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) premises.
