‘Tim Apple’ was on purpose, it saved time: Donald Trump

Washington: US President Donald Trump after getting widely teased for calling Apple CEO Tim Cook “Tim Apple”, came up with an explanation on Monday and said that it wasn’t an error or slip of the tounge, he was just being brief.

Mr Trump said that it was on purpose. Trump explained on his Twitter feed and said: “I quickly referred to Tim plus Apple as ‘Tim Apple’ as an easy way to save time & words.”

In the video which went viral on the internet with over 10 million views, President Trump sitting alongside with Apple’s CEO Tim Cook was heard saying ‘We appreciate it very much, Tim Apple.’

“I used to say, ‘Tim, you’ve got to start doing it over here,’ and you really have. You really put a big investment in our country. We appreciate it very much, Tim Apple,” Trump said.

Day after US President Donald Trump calls Apple CEO Tim Cook as Tim Apple at a White House meeting, Cook quietly changed his Twitter profile, replacing his last name with the Apple logo.
