‘Tolerance in Islam does not stop from fighting corruption’ says Imam Al-Sudais

After delivering the Friday Sermon, the Imam emphasized Islam does not stop one from combating evil issues like terrorism, corruption, drugs, liquor apart from countering fabricated false news, rumors spread through social networking.

Reminding people that “Islam is a religion of moderation and tolerance, and a mercy to the entire mankind,” he reaffirmed the basic tenets of Islamic Shariah that are designed to benefit people’s interest along with strongly deterring evil in the society.

Referring to the ongoing atrocities in Palestine and Israel’s illegal occupation of Jerusalem’s holy city, Imam Al- Sudais emphasized that tolerance in Islam does not mean it is weak nor it is a passage to let illegal occupation or confiscation of its holy sites.

“Our souls are insignificant in comparison to the holy sites of Islam and their protection. The real terrorist is the one who initiates aggression while the one who defends his land and its holy sites is not at all a terrorist,” he said, reminding the faithful that Holy City of Jerusalem, Al-Aqsa and the Arab will remain Islamic regardless of the oppression and atrocities in these holy areas, reported Saudi Gazette.
