Hyderabad: TRS to finalize the names of candidates to contest for Rajya Sabha seats soon. Authentic sources indicated that Mr. KCR has completed consultations for the probable candidates. He has also sought intelligence reports about them. It is certain that Mr. Santosh Kumar who is the relative of Mr. KCR working as General Secretary of TRS would be nominated against one seat. It is also reported that after getting green signal from Mr. KCR, Mr. Santosh Kumar went to Dargah Yousufain for offering prayers.
Mr. Santosh Kumar is popular among the party circles. In case, he is nominated to Rajya Sabha, he would be available to Mr. KCR during his visits to New Delhi as his advisor.
It may be mentioned that TRS General Secretary Dr. K. Keshav Rao was entrusted with the responsibility of consulting the other parties in connection with the formation of Third Front at the national level.
Mr. KCR has also announced that one Rajya Sabha seat would be allocated for Yadav Community but there are many candidates of this community who are claiming their eligibility.
It is reported that Reddy Community is also exerting its pressure on CM on the plea that there is no representation of this community in Rajya Sabha.
If a Muslim candidate is considered for the third seat, Mr. Mohammed Saleem, TRS MLC and Chairman of Wakf Board stands a better chance. Party sources indicated that Mr. KCR has not opened up his mind so far.
