Telangana TDP official spokesperson Satish Madiga today accused the TRS government of neglecting welfare of SCs and STs.
Speaking to the media, Satish Madiga said they would launch an agitation against the “negligent” attitude of the State government towards Dalits. He reminded that the State government had promised to allocate Rs 10,000 crore every year for welfare of girijans/dalits. As per its promise, the government should have spent Rs 30,000 crore since the party came to power.
But not even Rs 10,000 crore were spent during the last three years for uplift of girijans in the State, he said, adding that the TRS government has failed to fulfil its promise of allotting three acres to each family of dalits. Unfortunately, no dalit in the villages adopted by the Chief Minister was given land. Satish Madiga said the party would launch agitation in May. (NSS)
