TRS opposes Virasam comments on Telugu Conclave

TRS leaders Palla Rajeshwar Reddy and K Prabhakar today slammed Virasam and other parties with revolutionary attitude will not recognize our constitution and have no respect for our own culture and traditions. He also objected to comments by opposition parties against Telangana Thalli. Telangna Thalli (mother) is everywhere on our soil and in every heart of people who fought for the statehood. This cannot be questioned as the grand festival will unfold the greatness of Telangana to the world.

Addressing a press conference at TRS legislature party office here Rajeshwar Reddy took serious objection to Virasam and other revolutionary writers or others for not respecting our constitution. World Telugu Conference (WTC) is for giving due respect to our language, literature, poetry, culture and tradition and no one can question this he said.

There is no need of extending invitation for WTC to such organizations or people who oppose our culture, democracy and constitution. Everybody is invited and the people will throng the program in a large numbers and the festivities will be launched after garlanding Telangana Thalli statue, he said. Telangana Thalli is being depicted in every welcome arches and hoardings with great Telangana poets, writers and scholars which is true recognition and respect. Telugu Mahasabhalu will be conducted as our self respect and to increase Telugu prominence of the state. Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu will inaugurate Prapancha Telugu Mahasabhalu at LB Stadium on December 15 and Governors ESL Narasimhan, Ch Vidyasagar Rao and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, ministers, VIPs, poets, scholars, writers and officials will attend. President Ramnath Kovind will attend the valedictory on Dec 19 he said. (NSS)
