TRS on the way out, predicts Ponnam

Hyderabad: TPCC working president Ponnam Prabhakar today alleged that TRS former MLA Gangula Kamalakar has done nothing to develop Karimangar town. The communal BJP and the rich TRS want to grab power at any cost, he said, adding that not a single poor family got a double bedroom house in the town.

Speaking to the media here on Tuesday, Ponnam said the TRS government failed to give three acre land to each Dalit family as announced by the TRS supremo before 2014 elections. Alleging that the TRS party has totally failed to bring industries to the Karimangar district, Ponnam said the TRS party got the dubious credit of encroaching upon the lands and creating communal disturbances in the district. The State was fell into Rs 2 lakh crore debt trap during TRS party government.

Calling upon the people to defeat the TRS, which divided the district into seven pieces, Ponnam urged the people to protect the democracy by ensuring victory of the Congress in the district. He claimed that the Congress had fulfilled all the assurances made by it in the past. But the present government has miserably failed to fulfil even a single assurance given by it, he pointed out.

Ponnam said the Congress will prepare a local manifesto with the intellectuals of the Karimnagar district. He said several TRS leaders and IAS officers were in touch with the Congress as they strongly feel that the TRS would not retain power due to dictatorial attitude of the TRS supremo.
