Hyderabad: Stating that TRS chief and Caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrashkhar Rao is a true secularist and there was no comparison at the national level, caretaker minister KT Rama Rao today asserted that they will play a key role at national politics in 2019 and will not tie-up with BJP-led Narendra Modi Government at the Centre in future. The TRS and the BJP have ideological differences and will not go together despite any political developments after 2019 general elections, he claimed.

Addressing a meeting after welcoming some Muslim leaders like Abid Rasul Khan, Khaleel Ur Rehman and others into the TRS fold at the party office Telangana Bhavan here, KT Rama Rao said the TRS will play key role at the Centre by winning 16 Lok Sabha seats in the 2019 elections. He said the new joining by the Muslim leaders into the ruling party disproves that the TRS and BJP have nexus. With this, the Congress and its allies should refrain from making baseless charges just for mileage, he suggested.

“The KCR regime is secular as it always stands for Minorities by starting Shadi Mubarak, setting up of 200 minority schools, spending funds for Muslim festivals and built Iqbal Minar at Siddipet”, said and exuded confidence that KCR will win 100 seats and will remain as Chief Minister after December 11 results of the Assembly polls”, he added.
