Trump wants FBI to release McCabe’s texts

Washington D.C. [U.S.A.]: United States President Donald Trump on Saturday questioned the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) why text messages of former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe were not released to government authorities.

In a series of tweets, Trump threatened to get involved in the matter if appropriate action was not taken.

“Why isn’t the FBI giving Andrew McCabe text messages to Judicial Watch or appropriate governmental authorities. FBI said they won’t give up even one (I may have to get involved, DO NOT DESTROY). What are they hiding? McCabe wife took big campaign dollars from Hillary people,” he tweeted.

The US President also claimed that scores of men and women of the FBI were hurt by the agency’s ousted officials.

“Will the FBI ever recover its once stellar reputation, so badly damaged by Comey, McCabe, Peter S and his lover, the lovely Lisa Page, and other top officials now dismissed or fired? So many of the great men and women of the FBI have been hurt by these clowns and losers!” a second tweet read.

According to Fox News, the Judicial Watch wanted the access of the messages related to McCabe’s wife Jill’s 2015 Virginia state senate campaign.

McCabe was fired in March by Attorney General Jeff Sessions prior to his planned retirement, citing the former FBI official’s role in the investigation of Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server while she was Secretary of State.

The ex-FBI official had reportedly leaked the details to a Wall Street Journal reporter over an anonymous telephone call. (ANI)
