Hyderabad: Leaders of SCs, STs, BCs, Muslim Front appealed to Muslims and depressed classes to support the party which provides tickets to two Muslim MPs and one Muslim MLA from each district. This demand was put forth by them in the press conference held on 10th September. Present on this occasion were Chief Convener of the Front, Mr. Sanaullah Khan, Convener of the Front, Mr. MM Shareef, Maulana Syed Tariq Qadri, Prof. Anwar Khan and others
The leaders of the Front felt that Muslims constitute 14% of the population in the State but no political party is coming forward to uplift the Muslims in the political field. On the hand, every political party has been using the Muslims as their vote banks.
After assuming power, TRS President, Mr. KCR forgot the promises he had made during election campaign. He did not show any seriousness in providing 12% reservation to Muslims. He also did not make any attempt to delegate executive powers to Wakf Board.
The leaders felt that either KCR is deliberately making the Muslims backward or his proximity to BJP is preventing him to take any favourable action for the welfare of Muslims.
They lamented that out of the 105 candidates announced by TRS for MLAs, only two are Muslims.
It may be mentioned that Bahadurpura Assembly constituency has the largest Muslim concentration. It is opined that the TRS candidate announced for this constituency has been made a scapegoat.
TRS has to face severe opposition from other parties. The leaders of the front were of the opinion that Congress and TDP are the two sides of the same coin.
They resolved to launch awareness campaign in favour of two MP candidates and other candidates in Assembly constituencies with the support of SCs, STs, BCs.
