TS marching ahead on growth path: KTR

IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao today stated that Telangana State is making rapid strides in development sector surpassing others and kept tiding over major problems of the State.

Participating at a FICCI program at Park Hayat Hotel here, the minister maintained that the two-year old Telangana government could successfully address the power crisis and resolved many others that cropped up after the State formation. “We have surpassed the problem of power supply in the State and trying to become a power surplus State by 2018, KTR said.

KTR said Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has made vigorous efforts to tide over the power crisis and the State government was spending huge funds to purchase power from other States besides power plants are to start production to offer uninterrupted power supply to the industry, he said. With a focus on welfare and development, the Telangana Government has introduced first of its kind new industrial policy which is best in the world giving all permissions in 15 days through single window policy at one go, the Industry Minister maintained. He also claimed that they fetched 2300 companies of national and international importance in 12 months.

The TRS Government came up with a new IT policy in the country and State capital Hyderabad has emerged as second in IT exports at national level. The IT minister also maintained that the government was committed to support and for expansion of the IT sector Industries and business to open shop and expand their business to boost State economy and provide ample scope for increasing employment opportunities. He also stated that the government offered 1.30 lakh jobs to the eligible youth. (NSS)
