TS observes PV death anniversary

Hyderabad: Former Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao’s 14thdeath anniversary was conducted by State government on Sunday. At PV Ghat on Necklace Road noted politicians paid floral tributes to Rao and recalled his services.
Speaking on the occasion, former ministers Nayini Narsimha Reddy and T Srinivas Yadav said PV Narasimha Rao had served the nation in various capacities. They said PV Narsimha Rao was noted for financial reforms in the country and made efforts for allround development. PV was a multi-linguist and political intellectual.

During national crisis, PV steered the nation efficiently, they said. The former ministers expressed their concern that the Centre did not set up a memorial on PV’s name in Delhi. PV was the first Telugu Prime Minister of the country, they said. The Telangana government recognized PV’s services to the State. BJP senior leader Bandaru Dattatreya also spoke. The leaders launched a poster brought up by PV family members on the occasion.

Those paid tributes were PV family members, former ministers Bandaru Dattatreya, Ponnala Lakshmaiah, TPCC Chief N Utham Kumar Reddy, former MP Anjan Kumar Yadav, leaders, government advisor KV Ramana Chary and officials.
