TS receives award from India Today group

Hyderabad: Telangana State has been adjudged as the Most Improved Large State in the category of Governance by India Today group and the Award was received by the State officials in Delhi today. Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu presented the award

The annual India Today ‘The State of the States’ study is an attempt to find out which Indian State offers its citizens the best opportunities, both at work and outside. Further, the study tracks each State’s performance over time and, in particular, records the changes over the last five years. It takes into account both the business environment and the quality of life.
In an invite to Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, the India Today Group Editorial Director Raj Chengappa said the categories on which the States are judged include economy, agriculture, education, healthcare, infrastructure, inclusive development, law and order, governance, entrepreneurship, environment and cleanliness. He also urged the Chief Minister to participate in an interactive session and share the success story as well as performance mantra on the occasion.
