Two arrested, juvenile apprehended in robbery, snatching cases

New Delhi: Two persons were arrested while a juvenile was apprehended in several robbery, attempt to murder and snatching cases, police said today.

According to the south district police, with the arrest of all the accused, 13 cases of robbery, snatching, attempt to murder and stabbing have been solved.

The juvenile was apprehended after a brief exchange of fire, a police official said.

A secret information was received that one of the accused, Virat (22), would come near the DDA Park on the MB Road following which a trap was laid and he was arrested.

After the interrogation, his two associates — Prince (19) and the juvenile — were apprehended.

The police said that one semi-automatic pistol, along with two live cartridges, one country-made pistol, along with one live cartridge, and nine robbed and snatched mobile phones were seized from them.

An official said that the accused admitted his involvement in several cases of snatching and robbery in south Delhi in the recent past.
