Hyderabad: Today, the sleuths of Central Zone Task Force personnel conducted raids under Abid Road Police limits and nabbed two persons while they were accepting online Cricket betting through cell phones from known and unknown punters for the ongoing “ KFC Big Bash League-2018-2019, T20 match between Perth Scorchers Vs Sydney Thunder playing at Optus stadium, Australia and seized four Cell Phones, one TV, one Cable Setup Box, two papers, one pen, a calculator and cash of Rs 1,45,000.
The accused were identified as Sikandar N Charania, 41, Cricket Betting Organizer of Mahadev Apartment, Chirag Ali Lane, Abids, and Shivraj Singh, 24, of Jhinsi Chowraha, Mohan Das Matt, Mangalhat.
Police said the duo was organizing Cricket betting since 2014 and was arrested twice between 2014 and 2018. On a tip-off, the sleuths raided H. No. 5-8-509, Mahadev Apartment, Chirag Ali Lane, and apprehended them.
