The Telangana Government has fixed a target of providing monthly pension of Rs. 1,000 two lakh single women in the State.
Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Minister Jupally Krishna Rao has directed the officials to submit a report on single women in the State. Addressing a review meeting here on Saturday, the minister said final lists of beneficiaries should be prepared soon to ensure distribution of pension from next financial year beginning from 1st April.
Further, the minister said roads would be constructed in Girijans Tandas and SC Colonies having a population of more than 500 people. He also directed the officials to expedite the preparation of proposals for budget 2017-18. (INN)
