Two train bogeys catch fire, no one hurt

Gawalior/Jhansi: Two bogeys of a train, going from Delhi to Visakhapatnam, caught fire on Monday in Madhya Pradesh’s Gwalior district, following which alert passengers pulled the chain to stop the train and evacuate it, police said.

Informed sources said that though over 30 trainee IAS/IPS officers were travelling in the train coaches that caught fire, no one was injured.

The fire was reported around noon when the train was near the Birla Nagar railway station.

Jhansi Railway Zone Public Relations Officer Manoj Singh said that the coaches damaged in the fire were delinked from the train which proceeded on its journey around 3.30 p.m.
