Two youths dead, another injured in Delhi as car rams bike

New Delhi: Two youths died and a third one sustained critical head injury in an accident after their bike was rammed by an unidentified speeding car in Alipur area of west Delhi, police said on Monday.

Police said the deceased had been identified as Suraj and Rahul, and the injured as Lacchu — all the three hailing from Nepal had been residing in Chirag Dilli village of south Delhi.

According to police, Suraj, Rahul and Lacchu had left on a bike from Chirag Dilli for a night out at Murthul in Haryana.

“The accident occurred at around 5 a.m. on Monday morning when they were returning to their apartment,” a senior police officer said.

“When they reached the Shani temple in Alipur area, a speeding unidentified car rammed them from behind. The impact of the accident was so strong that both Suraj and Rahul died on the spot, while Lacchu was admitted to Lok Nayak Jai Prakash (LNJP) Hospital,” the officer added.

“We have registered a case against unidentified person on the statement of Lacchu,” he added.
