Panipat: Ulamas have appealed to all schools managements to celebrate Indian Independence on August 15 with patriotic fervor and invite other countrymen in large numbers. They also urged them to present true historical facts before them.
Chairman Majlis Dawatul Haq Maulana Abdul Sattar Salam Qasmi said the history of the Indian freedom struggle is incomplete without the history of freedom struggle of 1857. The new generation should learn about the role of Tipu sultan, and sacrifices and achievements made by unsung heroes like Mir Sadiq, Mir Jaffer, Shaikul Hind Maulana Obaidullah Sindhi, Maulana Jaffer, etc. They should know about Reshmi Rumal movement which played a vital role in freedom struggle.
