UPSC CSE Prelims 2019: Read these important instructions before applying

New Delhi: UPSC Civil Services Examination 2019 is scheduled to be held on 2nd June 2019. The last date for submission of the applications is 18th March 2019.

Recently, Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the notice related to EWS certificates. As per the notice, the candidates who wish to apply under EWS category are requested to get their EWS Certificates ready by 1st August, 2019.

Earlier, the UPSC had issued important notice on the change of name. The Commission had asked the students to fill in their names in the Application Forms of the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2019 as recorded in the School Leaving Board Examination Certificates and reminded that the same name will appear on e-Admit Card.

It may be mentioned that the candidates have to carry e-Admit card and government issued photo identity card for each session of the examination.

The one who had changed his/her name after obtaining School Leaving Board Examination Certificate and by following due process of law should carry original Gazette notification of the changed name, e-Admit card and Government issued photo identity card for each session of the examination.

It may be noted that as per UPSC Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination 2019 notification, the expected number of vacancies which will be filled based on the results of the exam is 896. Out these vacancies, 39 are reserved for persons with Benchmark Disability Category.

Exam fee for candidates belonging to General Category is Rs. 100. However, Persons with Benchmark Disability, female, SC/ST candidates are exempted from payment of fee.
