US Ambassador says he is true friend of India

Washington: US Ambassador to India Kenneth I Juster has said that he is a true friend of India. Juster, who completes a year in India as the US Ambassador, took to his Twitter account to express his sentiments.

Juster twitted, “It is truly a special privilege and honor to be the U.S. Ambassador in this magnificent country. Thank you for all of your support as I complete #OneYearasUSAmbIndia. Please know that India has a true friend in the U.S. Embassy. #USIndiaDosti”

According to the US Department of State, Juster served as the Deputy Assistant to the President for International Economic Affairs and Deputy Director of the National Economic Council from January to June 2017. He was a senior member of both the National Security Council staff and the National Economic Council staff.

In this role, Juster coordinated the Administration’s international economic policy and integrated it with national security and foreign policy. He also served as the lead US negotiator (“Sherpa”) in the run-up to the G7 Summit in Taormina, Italy.

Juster was appointed as the United States Ambassador to India in November 2017.
