Uttam repeats Congress return to power in poll battle

TPCC Chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy today reiterated that his party would return to power whenever elections were held.

Speaking to the media at Munnurukapu Bhavan here on Wednesday along with V Hanumanth Rao, the TPCC chief claimed not a single section was happy in the State. Referring to KTR’s comments at Kodad meeting on Tuesday that Rs 3 crore was found in his car, Uttam said KTR spoke lies as the court had dismissed the case for lack of evidence. He said only Rs 1.5 lakh was found in his car.

Stating that he has no children and there was no need for him to amass wealth illegally, Uttam Kumar accused KTR of “eating public money with 6 percent commissions in Mission Bhagiratha by allocating works to Andhra contractors”. He claimed that KCR was creating false news saying other Chief Ministers were extending support to his proposed third front. He repeated that his party would capture power both in the State as well as at the Centre in the battle of ballot next year.

Senior Congress leader and former Rajya Sabha member V Hanumanth Rao also spoke. (NSS)
