Uttam resents IT raids on Revanth houses

Hyderabad: Condemning IT raids on the residences of TPCC working president A Revanth Reddy, TPCC chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy has said the IT department will unearth hundreds of crores of rupees if they conducted raids in Pragathi Bhavan.

Speaking to the media today, Uttam Kumar alleged that caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao’s family amassed illegal money by corrupt deals. KCR family has collected 6% commissions from the contractors, he claimed, adding that Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Centre and KCR in the State were resorting to hand twisting activities against the Opposition parties. He said the State government was harassing the Congress leaders with IT raids like in Karnataka State before elections. Uttam Kumar Reddy and his party colleagues K Jana Reddy, Seethakka, Guduru Narayana Reddy and several others visited Revanth Reddy’s residence at the time of IT raids on his house.

Talking to mediapersons at Revanth Reddy’s residence, the TPCC chief alleged that KCR was trying to suppress the voice of Opposition parties and as part of it, KCR made the police to arrest T Jagga Reddy and raids today on the residences of Revanth Reddy. He alleged that KCR targeted Congress leaders since the election process started. Reiterating that the election was between the KCR family and the Telangana people, Uttam said the latter would teach a fitting lesson to KCR.

Former CLP leader K Jana Reddy condemned the IT raids on the residences of Revanth Reddy. He alleged that KCR was violating the democratic values. He asked the people to defeat the TRS party in the elections. KCR also destroyed freedom of the media, he said.
